A reminder from the queen of QAE Enrichment, Gillian Jorgensen:
Hello, all! A reminder that enrollment for after school clubs begins at **10am on Wednesday, January 18th**.
Please note that there are less offerings in the next session due to space availability, which means that registrations are first come/first serve to be as fair as possible to all students. (The only exceptions are for Japanese--returning students have priority--and Board Games--new students have priority.)
Similarly, the start time of registration was set to be as accommodating to various work schedules as possible. We are doing our volunteer best to help everyone have a positive experience.

Reminder: there will be no school on Monday in observation of Martin Luther King Day. If you didn't have a chance to watch in person, the 3rd and 5th graders did a superb job presenting on children who took part in the civil rights movement.
The Seattle Times has a list of some other events honoring Dr. King's legacy over the long weekend: http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/events/dance-march-volunteer-celebrate-educate-on-mlk-day-in-seattle-area/
Enrichment note: Tuesday's "Art for the Curious" after school class is cancelled due to instructor illness.
But speaking of enrichment, a heads up: enrollment begins on Wednesday, Jan. 18th at 10am for Session 2. See the Enrichment page for all the details including the Spring schedule!
qaeptsa.org The goal of enrichment is to include a wide variety of class types to meet the interests of students, with offerings for all grade levels on each day.

We've added a page to the PTSA site with information about the Levy Cliff, fully-funding education and, most importantly, action you can take to help!
