Roots of Connection, Kids

Roots Of Connection, Kids! (ROCK) offers a forest preschool program in beautiful Woodland Park, as well as a multi-age Homeschool Enrichment program.

ROCK! (Roots Of Connection, Kids!) is an OUTDOOR MULTI-AGE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM offered through Tara's Tots schools. The class spends each day exploring nature in Woodland Park and then returns to our Linden home for a healthy, vegetarian hot lunch. ROCK! is accepting enrollment for preschoolers 4-5 years of age. Additionally, we are offering an outdoor homeschool enrichment program for learners ages 6-12 on Wednesdays and Fridays. Students will learn about local ecology, edible and medicinal plants, animal tracking, fire making, shelter building, and conservation within a supportive, multi-age community. Our curriculum focuses on the interests of our students, and is interactive and fun! For more information, visit our webpage, or contact Tara's Tots. Program opens Autumn 2016.

Pure joy! #rootsofconnectionkids

On a misty Seattle day, we adventured to Greenlake. We found our familiar friends, the coots, along with a great blue heron hiding in the cattails. In our attempts to sneak closer, we spooked the large bird and watched, mystified as it soared over the water. These are among the magic moments throughout our time at ROCK. #rootsofconnectionkids

Our classroom, the "Nature Nook," is all set for the ROCK homeschoolers to identify rocks! Carnelian, Agate, did they get here? How were they formed?
