Youth Curator | Northwest African American Museum

Today is the deadline to become a Youth Curator at the Northwest African American Museum.

Intersections: Finding True North is a creative mural project that will tell stories of Seattle’s Central Area history through collective mapping. Youth Curators are introduced to the rich, historic legacy of the Central Area and then tap into their artistic expression in muraling sessions led by Gage Academy of Arts teaching artist, Aramis Hamer.

[12/22/16]   Hey just a reminder that TAS will not be taking place this Friday the 23rd, or next Friday the 30th due to the winter holidays.

We will be back though in January fresh and new to keep providing all the wonderful teens of Seattle with space to socialize and have fun with art.

Take a look at Skill Set: Foundations of Creativity, with teaching artist John Freeman. Our skill set series is designed to help young artists develop the skills they need to create their own art. This class would make a fantastic Christmas surprise for a budding young artist!
