Yesterday, November 2nd, Bright Water Waldorf School celebrated Dia de los muertos! The students made and decorated sugar skulls for the occasion (with 24 pounds of sugar!). Our Spanish teacher, Maestra Loreli, created a beautiful altar for students to bring pictures or mementos of loved ones that have passed away. Each class came by the altar to pay their respects in song, poem, or silent acknowledgement. Having students experience different traditions is an integral part of Waldorf education and is just one of the ways Bright Water is committed to helping create global citizens.
Walking through our hallways here at BWWS, feels like walking through an art gallery. Our student's art is simply amazing.
