Today an orca whale scientist from Killer Whale Tales was at school to work with 5th-graders from our school and Louisa Boren STEM K-8. They got to participate in a mock version of a real study that is happening this year to identify the critical habitat of orca whales by figuring out where the whales are spending most of their time. Students learned about the scientific method and a ton about our neighbors J, K, and L-Pod.
Do you have a little one struggling to tie their shoes? Here's Ms. Eilers, our school occupational therapist, with a fun and special technique that involves turning laces into crocodile tails that might just do the trick.
The BIG D started this morning. Right now the 'dozers are working the South side of the building removing the walled-in portable wing, and the dump truck is filling its 3rd load of the morning. What will you miss most about the old building?
